Chicago Title Insurance Company (CTIC) is committed to conducting its insurance business in a manner that reflects the highest standards of integrity, professionalism, and fair treatment of customers.
In support of this commitment, CTIC has formally adopted the Insurer Code of Market Conduct (the “Code”) issued by the British Columbia Financial Services Authority (“BCFSA”). The Code establishes principles and expectations intended to promote ethical conduct, responsible business practices, and the fair treatment of customers throughout the insurance lifecycle.
CTIC incorporates the principles of the Code into its governance framework, internal policies, procedures, and operational practices. CTIC employees, contractors, volunteers, and any third parties are expected to conduct their activities in accordance with the Code and applicable regulatory requirements.
Through these measures, CTIC seeks to ensure that customers are treated fairly in all interactions, including product design and delivery, communications, and the handling of inquiries or concerns. CTIC maintains appropriate oversight and compliance processes to support adherence to these standards and to promote responsible market conduct.
Sales, operations, underwriting, claims and any other functions that engage with CTIC’s customers are responsible for ensuring this Standard is met and is reviewed to ensure it continues to adhere to its purpose.
CTIC periodically reviews regulatory guidance and updates its policies and procedures as necessary to remain aligned with the expectations established by BCFSA.
